Neuanfang. That's a German word. It means something like "new beginning". That makes sense, since it is the tenth official release from this duo based in Glasgow, Scotland, but the first to be issued physically. Blending influences as diverse as jazz, kraut-rock or 60s prog, multi-instrumentalists (hurray for horns!) Carsten Mandt and Michael Gallagher sound like Tortoise and Slint entering a time machine to jam with members of Neu! or early King Crimson. Nice, huh?
