“I Have Been Away For So Long” is the third release of the band a Jigsaw related to their new album Drunken Sailors & Happy Pirates (Nov2011). In this cassette, the band pays homage to the radio DJ Nuno Ávila (RUC), that 12 years ago aired the first a Jigsaw song, precisely recorded in a cassette. The track list of this cassette is comprised of the title track “I Have Been Away For So Long” taken from their new album and a Jigsaw’s magnificent rendition of 5 songs from Portuguese artists Blind Zero, Tiguana Bibles, Bunnyranch, Corsage and Frankie Chavez. In their own words the band tells the creators of the original songs “Thank you. Now we carry with us the heart of these songs”.
